A: Absolutely!!! We chose our disinfectant and designed our dry fog equipment around it as it is botanical, non-toxic and “green” derived from a Herb. It is registered with Health Canada and the US EPA at lowest toxicity level, food contact surfaces safe, not to mention all your belongings (including electronics) can all stay in place as well.

Another specific reason we chose our disinfectant was that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for respiration was not required – this was a major benefit with PPE being in high demand and in short supply with the Pandemic.  

How about our competition? – They use products with peracetic acids, hydrogen peroxide, etc. products that require respiratory PPE and one of the reasons you can not return to your home immediately following treatment. So, will that be acid or herb for you?

A: No, in fact, you want to keep as many of your belongings inside the home as possible. Mold spores get trapped inside fabrics, furniture, and clothing and all those things should be treated as well.

A: Our Dry Fog treatment is compatible with electronics. Equipment can remain powered-on during service. A 3rd-party study (“Evaluation of a Dry Fogging System for Laboratory Decontamination”, Krishnan, et al., Public Health Agency of Canada) evaluated repeated Dry Fog exposure of six personal computers over a six-month period. Their evaluation showed “no decline in performance or failure of any of the key subsystems…no visible damages were found on any critical parts.” 

A: Our Botanical disinfectant is Health Canada and US FDA approved for food contact. However, if you would like to retain the fresh taste of your food, produce or fruits, etc. you may want to place them in the refrigerator or a zip lock bag.

A: Not you will not. Our treatment leaves no residue, so your home and all your belongings will be the same as how you left them, with the exception of your mold, bacteria and odors issues being resolved.

A: Our proprietary Fog Pods and Dry Fog technology creates 5-micron sized particles. Mold spores are between 10 and 20 microns in size typically, thus any place a mold spore can get in or out of, our Dry Fog will penetrate those areas. If there are known mold or bacteria issues behind a wall, we can treat the back of the wall directly by poking a few small holes between the studs for access.

A: Our Dry Fog treatment service is a permanent solution if all moisture and water issues are resolved prior.

A: Our treatment kills the mold spores but any stains that the mold has created will not go away but we can clean them for you at an additional cost. Alternatively, if you want, you can do that yourself after the treatment as everything will be perfectly safe to handle at that point.

A: Unless there is something aesthetically wrong with your carpets, no you do not need to replace your carpet. Our Dry Fog penetrates the carpet and the carpet pad as well as other porous fixtures and furniture.

A: Our Botanical disinfectant has not been approved by Health Canada or US EPS as a pesticide, so we avoid making any claims our product is not approved for, however we can say it sure makes for an unhospitable environment for them and have seen many instances where this has been the case.

A: If the area, space, or room you are concerned about is isolated and doesn’t exchange air with the rest of the structure, then no, typically whole home treatment may not be necessary. However, if that space does exchange air with the rest of the home, then yes, whole home treatment will be recommended. Visible mold is often evidence that airborne mold levels are high (in the home and HVAC duct work) which can cause negative health effects.

A: Depending on the type of treatment ordered and provided, we will take an air sample before our technicians leave on the day of your treatment and send that sample to an independent third-party lab. Typically, we get the report back in 4 or 5 days after treatment/collection and will then provide it to you.

A: Yes, we guarantee work! We will guarantee that mold will be brought back to a healthy level in your home if whole home treatment was provided. If this doesn’t happen, we will re-treat your home free of charge.

In addition, we provide a one-year warranty on whole home treatments (transferable to new owner if your home is sold) if, the original moisture issues causing your mold problem were resolved prior to our Dry Fog treatment and/or no new moisture problems occurred after our service.
