What is Dry Fog?
Dry Fog is a fog that is made up of droplets that are 10 microns or less in diameter.
FogFresh Dry Fog droplets are dispersed into the air and diffusion occurs, as atoms and molecules in liquids and gases are freer to move and tend toward equilibrium or diffusion (droplets move towards lower concentrations of droplets and away from areas of higher concentrations of droplets).
Dry Fog diffusion is also aided by another phenomenon known as Brownian Movement. Particles of dust or pollen can be seen in the light floating in the air, following what seems to be random jittery patterns. The dust particles aren’t moving on their own but are colliding with atoms and molecules of the air keeping the dust in motion.
Dry Fog Technology
When fogging, droplet size is everything, 10 microns or smaller is a Dry Fog but droplets above 10 microns in diameter are considered a Wet Fog. With Wet Fog, droplets burst upon contact and that can damage surfaces, electronic equipment, etc. with a wet residue. This bursting of Wet Fog droplets also does not allow for the creation of uniform coverage or diffusion of disinfectant to the total targeted area and/or room volume.
